Teresa Wheeler has had the privilege to serve many patients and their families over her 27-year nursing career and 11 years as a Aging Life Care Manager through her consulting firm. Her passion is to present her patients/clients with the facts to empower them to make decisions that will enhance their quality of life.
This career change comes at a time in her life when she can personally relate to what individuals encounter when they turn 65. The volume of information that one receives on the choices for Medicare coverage can be daunting, causing one to wonder what the best choice in Medicare coverage is for their own situation. Teresa’s goal is to help her clients understand the options available to them for Medicare coverage at onset and to continue to serve them well beyond their decision.
Teresa earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Baldwin Wallace College in Human Services, her nursing license through Lorain County Community’s nursing program, her Patient Advocacy certificate from Cleveland State University School of Nursing and has taken master’s level coursework in gerontology from the University of Nebraska. Teresa also participates in the AARP Nurse Volunteer Program seeking to be part of the movement that strives to facilitate positive outcomes for the senior population.
